Every August, heather comes into bloom over large areas of the Woodlands site, the photographs below were taken in mid-August and then again in September 2014.

Winter
Due to the site being adjacent to the moorland tops of the Llangattock and Llangynidr mountains, there is little shelter and winter conditions can be very harsh.
The photographs below were taken during different Winter periods in
recent years.
