JULY 2017 - MINDLESS VANDALISM AT THE WOODLANDS

During the past few days, the site has been subjected to some mindless vandalism :-

Firstly, three slats were forcibly removed from the bridge at the Upper Boat Pond, the bridge was made of oak, and this will be costly to repair.

The attention then turned to the Lower Boat Pond, where the lifebelt and the picnic nench were both thrown into the pond - both have since been restored to their rightful place.

The third spiteful act, was the destruction of the bird hide at the Lower Boat Pond, which will be costly and time-consuming to repair.
