JANUARY 2015  - DONATION OF TIMBER

The timber will be put to good use in the construction of footpaths and/or steps around the Woodlands.

Construction of a set of steps leading down to the bird hide on the Lower Boat Pond.

This was the most challenging to date, as the photographs below show, after the completion of the steps, we propose to formalise the path down towards the bird hide.

Construction of a set of steps on the West side of the Blaen Cendl Entrance.

This was rather steep path for walkers to negotiate and often very muddy, and has now been made much easier by the construction of the steps.

We were also lucky to receive a load of fresh wood chip by courtesy of  Steve Ambler & Sons , to find out more about Steve Ambler please visit his website by clicking on the button.

Construction of a dipping platform at the Butterfly Pond

Recycled plastic was used to construct the platform as an alternative material that will last longer than wood. It was completed after two days of hard work by John Hillier and Roy and David Lynch.
